LEIGHTON KOBERLEIN, Associate
Leighton is an associate attorney who works out of both the Fresno and the Bakersfield offices. He is a member of the firm's Construction and Employment practice groups.
Leighton's practice includes state and federal court litigation involving professional liability/errors & omissions; defense of healthcare professionals, insurance agents and brokers; administrative proceedings (DFEH claims against business entities and individuals); personal injury and premises liability defense; commercial and residential construction defect liability; bankruptcy matters; 1983 civil rights litigation; and all facets of employment litigation. Leighton has successfully provided support on multiple class action lawsuits in both state and federal court. He has also successfully handled binding arbitrations including, but not limited to, employment litigation, business litigation, and labor law/collective bargaining issues.
Prior to joining Ericksen Arbuthnot, Leighton was an associate for a well-known Fresno employment litigation firm, and also worked for a Fresno bankruptcy firm.
He is a member of the California State Bar Association, a lifetime member of the Traynor Honor Society, and a lifetime member of the Eta Sigma Phi honor society.
A native of California, Leighton grew up near the foothills of the Sacramento Valley, and relocated to Fresno with his family shortly after completing law school. Leighton is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying backpacking, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family.
