San Jose associate Felicia Jafferies has been selected to serve on the 2011-2012 Defense Research Institute (DRI) Young Lawyers Steering Committee. Felicia will be the vice-chair of the sponsorship committee. Her term starts at DRI’s Annual Meeting in September.
San Jose associate Nathaniel Lucey has been appointed to the California Young Lawyers Association Board Committee, and will serve as a member at large. He is one of 20 young lawyer members appointed by the Board of Governors of The State Bar of California. Nine appointments are designated for representatives of the nine State Bar districts, and 11 seats are filled by appointments at large. Nat will serve a three-year term, beginning at the State Bar Annual Meeting in September.
Felicia Jafferies and Nat Lucey have also been selected to participate in the Barristers Leadership Program through the Santa Clara County Bar Association. They will participate in the three-month program, which will include an ethics session with Judge Fogel, a meeting with Presiding Judge Richard Loftus and Assistant Presiding Judge Brian Walsh, and a leadership session with Christine Burdick, Executive Director and General Counsel of the SCCBA.
