Practice Group

Tim is a partner and shareholder and has been with the firm since 1997. Tim's practice areas currently include construction defect litigation, corporate defense and personal injury. Prior areas of work that Tim is still involved in to a more limited amount include insurance coverage, pharmaceutical defense and bad faith litigation.

For the most part, Tim handles construction defect cases throughout the state and represents subcontractors involved in a wide variety of fields, including the manufacturing, supply and/or installation of windows; entry, sliding and French doors; plumbing components and fixtures; roofing; siding; and cabinetry. Many of these clients are self-insured entities who value Tim's ability to quickly narrow down and resolve claims in order to extricate them from litigation as soon as possible and limit the overall cost and expense.

Tim has defended Fortune 500 corporations in a variety of claims throughout the state in both federal and state courts. These have ranged from “nuisance claims” to larger federal court claims. Additionally, he has been involved in many hundreds of personal injury claims, ranging from minor rear-end motor vehicle accidents and “slip and falls,” to multi-million dollar fatality accidents. This work has covered a wide range of clients, from drivers of personal automobiles to large trucking organizations and corporations.

Tim lives in the college town of Davis, just west of Sacramento and home to the University of California at Davis.  He is the proud father of three children (and one son-in-law): a daughter who is a children’s dentist in Vacaville; a son-in-law who is a high school math teacher in Vacaville; a son who is a fifth grade teacher in Butte, MT; and a son who is in his sophomore year at Montana Tech, studying to become an engineer.
