Lisa Gruen, a partner in Ericksen Arbuthnot’s Los Angeles office, will chair DRI’s Fire Science and Litigation Seminar November 6 and 7, 2014 at the FireSky Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. Ms. Gruen is the Program Chair and Chair of the Fire Science and Litigation Specialized Litigation Group (SLG). Lisa and her committee have put together an exciting program staffed by some of today’s leading experts and attorneys in Fire Litigation.

The seminar is entitled “Following the Arc to the Latest Legal and Technological Developments” and features a debate between leading experts on the significance of beading on post-fire conductors and also highlights on recent changes to NFPA 921. The seminar will provide insight into how leading attorneys, metallurgists, fire investigators, and electrical engineers use state-of-the-art tools and technologies in site documentation and artifact inspections. The seminar will provide practical tips on extinguishing indeterminate cause and res ipsa defect claims and discuss the myriad issues raised when dealing with foreign product and component manufacturers.
