The Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of California presented the Morning Star Award to Nathaniel Lucey, an associate in the firm’s San Jose office. The award is presented to young real property lawyers demonstrating early dedication to the Bar. Mr. Lucey is a valued member of the California Young Lawyers Association (CYLA), is a second year board member and recently presented a program at the State Bar’s Annual meeting. The CYLA is appointed by the Board of Trustees to advise the Board of the interests of California young lawyers and to develop strategies for increasing young lawyer involvement and participation in the State Bar. The CYLA also facilitates the development of programs and services that would assist young lawyers in their professional and leadership advancement and programs that benefit the public.

Mr. Lucey’s practice includes real estate, construction defect, employment and personal injury litigation. He has represented corporations, professionals, public entities and small business owners. Prior to focusing on civil litigation Mr. Lucey interned with the Public Defender’s Office in Santa Clara County where he represented domestic violence victims in restraining order hearings.
