Terry is a partner and shareholder in the Silicon Valley/San Francisco office, and has practiced law for over twenty years. He joined the firm in 1998.

He has comprehensive litigation, trial, and appellate experience, and has participated in numerous arbitrations and mediations in various areas of the law, including construction defect, real estate, products liability, Workers' Compensation, personal injury, professional malpractice, complex commercial, and employment claims.

He has represented a wide range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, in diverse claims across various practice areas involving employment matters, contractual disputes, personal injury claims, product liability claims, and professional malpractice matters.  

Mr. Finch also has past experience in handling patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation, and has defended clients on infringement matters involving those issues.  He also has substantial experience with appeals, oppositions and cancellation proceedings involving prospective and existing trademark registrants before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board at the USPTO.

Terry has also represented a variety of contractors ranging in trade from roofing to sub-grade tradesman and all areas in between. He has had the opportunity to satisfy an equally diverse range of client needs, such as defending general contractors, developers, and owners in commercial and residential projects, multi-party, high exposure cases, requiring prosecution of indemnity liability against multiple sub-contractors, in projects involving hundreds of homes.  

At John Marshall Law School, Terry was a Staff Editor of the John Marshall Law Review and published the note: DNA Identification and the State's Duty to Preserve Evidence, 25 J. Marshall L. Rev. 809 (1992), reprinted, 5 Crim. Prac. L. Rev. 501 (1993), cited and followed in the Harvard Law Review, Note, Confronting the New Challenges of Scientific Evidence, 108 Harv. L. Rev. 1481, 1559 (1995).

He is the proud father of two toddlers and captain of a San Francisco USTA tennis team. In his spare time, he competes locally at San Francisco tennis clubs. He also is interested in biking, skiing and various water sports.
